QCPP's Five Domains

In October 2017, QCPP conducted a pilot of the revised QCPP Requirements. A comprehensive review of the pilot outcomes has been undertaken to inform the development of QCPP Reform 2020. As part of this review, the objectives of the revised QCPP Requirements have been further refined.

The pilot review also found that pharmacies positively received the new 'domains structure', refocusing the 18 Elements to the following five domains that more intuitively aligned with business operations:

  • Business Management and Governance
  • Human Resources
  • Premises, Infrastructure and Stock
  • Customer Experience
  • Pharmacy Services

Given this positive feedback, the QCPP Domains Structure will be incorporated into the revised QCPP Requirements as part of  QCPP Reform 2020.

If you have already started to incorporate the new ‘domains’ structure' into your operations manual and you are due for assessment during the 2018/19 financial year, please do not worry! QCPP endorsed assessors will still be able to assess your pharmacy under the current QCPP Requirements 2011 edition.
