Rules for Transition to QCPP 2nd edition


  • Pharmacies due for accreditation between 1 April and 31 December 2006 will be offered an extension of up to six months to avoid any influx of assessments and allow accreditation under the 2nd edition,
  • QCPP 1st edition assessments will cease 30 June 2006,
  • Pharmacies nominating to be assessed under the 1st edition between 1 April and 30 June 2006 will need to complete a declaration form by 1 July 2007 stating that they comply with National Council's decision relating to the storage of Pharmacy Medicines and, where relevant, identifying the specialist program and services they provide; and
  • Pharmacies assessed under 1st edition prior to 1 April 2006 will be required to be assessed under the QCPP 2nd edition before 30 June 2008.
