QCPP Assessment Travel
Subsidy Scheme

The QCPP Assessment Travel Subsidy Scheme (formerly Rural and Remote Quality Care Pharmacy Subsidy Scheme) subsidises some of the costs associated with gaining QCPP accreditation in certain locations throughout Australia.

The scheme has been revised. The eligibility rules have been relaxed and levels of subsidies increased. The process of claiming the subsidy has now been simplified. Importantly, pharmacies must now apply directly to the QCP Division of the Guild within three months of an assessment being conducted.

The revised scheme commenced on 1 December 2003, and will continue to the end of the Third Agreement in June 2005 or until funds are exhausted. The scheme is funded through the Third Community Pharmacy Agreement, and is managed by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
