The QCPP has introduced a new Pharmacy Standards Checklist which provides more assistance to pharmacies implementing the QCPP and allow greater consistency /certainty in determining whether a pharmacy is meeting the requirements established under the QCPP Pharmacy Standards. It has been designed to be used by:

Pharmacy proprietors/managers as an aid to what is required during the implementation process, as a useful self-assessment check prior to the external assessment, and as an indicator of exactly what the external assessor will be looking for and asking during the external assessment; and
QCPP Assessors during the external accreditation assessment.

The Pharmacy Standards Checklist also contains Assessment Notes for a number of Standards. These notes have been developed where experience under the Program so far has indicated a need for additional clarification of some requirements.
